Pundit gives five reasons why players would choose to join Spurs over Arsenal

Jamie O’Hara has claimed that players would rather join Tottenham Hotspur than Arsenal if both clubs came calling for them at the moment.

The two North London rivals find themselves locked in a battle for the final Champions League qualification spot heading into the business end of the season.

The Gunners currently sit three points ahead of the Lilywhites with a game in hand but Mikel Arteta’s men have a much tougher fixture list compared to their fierce rivals.

Both clubs could be targeting a similar standard of players in the summer as they aim to close the gap with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.

O’Hara believes it would be a no-brainer for players to choose Spurs over Arsenal, given the facilities at both clubs, the comparative quality of the two squads and the respective managers in charge.

He insisted that only the likes of Ben White, who play for relatively smaller clubs, would be tempted by a move to the Emirates.

The former Tottenham midfielder told talkSPORT: “Well it’s Tottenham.

“If it’s Tottenham or Arsenal you’re going Tottenham over Arsenal because one: Tottenham have got an incredible stadium, better stadium, best stadium in the world. Best training ground in the world, one of.

“One of the best managers in the world. Best striker in the world [Harry Kane]. One of the best left-wingers in the world [Heung-min Son].

“So if you’re looking at a football club that you’d go to, you’d go to Tottenham. Why would you go to Arsenal? Unless you’re like Ben White from Brighton.”

The Conte factor will certainly add to our pulling power compared to Arsenal, especially when it comes to potential signings from Serie A.

However, Arsenal are a big club and players might prefer a move to the Emirates over the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if they beat us to fourth place.

So, Champions League qualification will be crucial to both clubs’ pursuit of their transfer targets this summer.
