Pundit labels one Spurs star a ‘revelation’ and another is ‘going to be huge’

Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood has showered Dejan Kulusevski and Cristian Romero with praise this week following their start to the season.

Both players were signed by Fabio Paratici after the managing director of football swapped Juventus for North London, bringing Kulusevski with him via the same route in January.

Romero was also signed with Juve links, after Atalanta triggered their option to buy the centre-back before selling him straight on to Tottenham in the same summer.

Despite having competition with new boy Richarlison, Kulusevski has remained a shining light for the Lilywhites this season, arguably being their most in-form attacker in the opening weeks.

Although the Swede dropped to the bench for the last two matches, he made a positive impact after coming on as a substitute at right-wing-back against Marseille.

Romero has just returned from another injury and will now be looking to kick on with his no-nonsense defending for the rest of the campaign.

Sherwood said this about the pair to TalkSPORT: “Kulusevski, since he’s been at the club has been a revelation. Absolutely magnificent.

“Romero’s a huge player for them, he’s back to fitness now, he’s going to be huge.

“They’ve bought Richarlison in alongside Son, who’s had a slow start to the season, and Harry Kane, who’s scoring goals.

“He normally takes a little while to settle into the Premier League season but he’s scoring every single week.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

Tottenham’s recruitment under Paratici has been the best we’ve seen for many years at Spurs. Romero, Kulusevski, Bentancur, Perisic, Richarlison, Bissouma… and he’s just getting started!
