Journalist gives opinion on whether Harry Kane could join Juventus this summer

ESPN’s European football expert, Julien Laurens, has claimed that he cannot see Harry Kane completing a move to Juventus in the summer.

Kane’s future has been the subject of a lot of speculation over recent weeks with a report in the Telegraph suggesting that the striker is keen on trying a new challenge.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Spurs talisman (Mirror) while Juventus are also said to be interested in bringing him to Turin (Tuttosport).

It was even reported that the Italian giants were willing to offer Paulo Dybala to Tottenham to complete a swap deal to sign Kane (Tuttosport via Sport Witness).

However, Laurens believes that Juve cannot afford the England captain given the duration left to run on his current contract with Spurs.

When asked if he can see Kane joining the Serie A champions, Laurens told ESPN FC: “I think this one is a really big longshot. Not because Juventus wouldn’t be interested in Harry Kane, I think most clubs would be, if he makes himself available.

“Let’s not forget, he’s got a very long contract at Spurs. He would cost a lot of money to whoever wanted to sign him.

“But Juventus have put a lot of money into Cristiano Ronaldo, he’s costing them a lot of money. They’ve got a huge squad on huge wages, and I don’t think that right now they have the money to spend on Harry Kane.”

I believe there is simply no chance of Kane leaving this summer as the striker will likely be priced out of any transfer by Daniel Levy. Besides, he hardly is the type of guy to sulk and demand a move. However, if we show no signs of improvement next season, then perhaps Kane will be thinking about going elsewhere to win trophies.
