Pundit reveals what he noticed Conte doing on the touchline yesterday

Micahel Brown has said that he noticed Antonio Conte telling each Tottenham player where to pass, when to pass, and where to be from the touchline at Goodison Park.

The Athletic also reported that Antonio Conte was screaming for the Spurs stars to pass to Sergio Reguilon at one point against the Toffees, with the left-wing-back having a lot of space out wide.

Conte’s first Premier League game in charge of Tottenham ended in a goalless draw but both sides had opportunities to win the game in the second half.

The Italian’s substitutions almost worked perfectly as Giovani Lo Celso, who replaced Lucas Moura, struck the post with a curling effort late on.

Conte looked quite animated throughout the ninety minutes as one has come to expect of the 52-year-old through his managerial career.

Brown, who was commentating on the match for BBC Radio 5 Live, pointed out during the first half how Conte was giving the Spurs players, including Harry Kane, an earful.

The former Tottenham midfielder said (via BBC Sport): “Antonio Conte is literally telling them everywhere where to pass, to come out from which side.

“Harry Kane’s getting a little bit of it now. He (Conte) shouldn’t be reacting quicker than the player, but he is at the moment. They need to speed up.”

Spurs Web Opinion

One can see why some players who have worked with Conte call him ‘obsessive’ as he is constantly kicking and heading every ball from the sidelines. It is evident from his body language that the Italian wants all of his players to do exactly what is expected of them on and off the ball in every single situation.
