Alan Hutton believes that Joe Rodon will be of interest to the likes of Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton as those sides look to reinforce their squads ahead of their Premier League campaign.

Rodon had previously been pretty vocal about feeling at home at Leeds and wanting to stay at the club (The Mirror) but his chances of sealing a move to Elland Road took a massive blow when Daniel Farke’s men lost the playoff final to Southampton.
A couple of days ago, The Daily Mail revealed that Leeds are in a perilous financial position after failing to bounce straight back up and that they need to sell some players in order to offset losses of over £100m.
As a result, it was suggested that a deal to sign the Wales international permanently from Tottenham is unlikely to materialise this summer.
The publication added that several top-flight clubs are now monitoring the 26-year-old’s situation ahead of the summer transfer window.

Joe Rodon could be a popular man this summer
Hutton believes that Rodon will be desperate to continue playing regularly after having a taste of it at Leeds and backed one of the newly promoted signs to secure the Tottenham man.
When asked about the centre-back, he told Tottenham News: “He’s got the taste for playing regular football. For me as a player, that’s all you ever want to do so that will be he is the main focus. He’s an international player, he’ll want to play regularly and these will all factor into his decision.
“You look at the teams coming up, do they fancy somebody like him? Of course, I think they would, I think he has gone and shown what he is more than capable of. I think there will be one or two other clubs within the Premier League that will be lurking in the shadows if they can get a deal done.
“I think even if he comes back and Ange decides there is an opportunity for him here, Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven will play when they’re fit so it is always going to be difficult. I think having had that opportunity to play regular football, he’ll want to continue that, especially at his age.”

There is no doubt that a few Premier League clubs would be circling around Rodon. Apart from the three newly promoted sides, the likes of Brenford, Forest and Wolves might also be eyeing the Tottenham man but the 26-year-old will likely prioritise regular game time while choosing his next destination.
