Pundit urges Spurs to replace Kulusevski with 22-year-old Premier League star

Jamie O’Hara has urged Tottenham to do everything they can to sign Michael Olise, insisting that he would even be willing to get rid of Dejan Kulusevski to make room for the Crystal Palace star.

Olise has had an outstanding season at Selhurst Park and his stock continues to rise with each passing game.

The winger has scored 10 goals and provided five assists so far this season in 18 league matches
(Transfermarkt) and has shown since the arrival of Oliver Glasner just how effective he can be in an attack-minded side.

That is perhaps why a number of top sides across the Premier League are looking at the 22-year-old, with Tottenham’s interest in the player first coming to light back in January (HITC).

However, a deal for the winger may not be easy to do, with GiveMeSport claiming a few days ago that Palace will fight to keep hold of Olise as well as attacking midfielder Ebereche Eze this summer.

O’Hara would swap Kulusevski for Olise at Spurs

O’Hara has now said that he would rather have Olise at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium than Eze, opining that the former would be a major upgrade over Dejan Kulusevski.

The former Spurs midfielder told talkSPORT: “Eze, I love watching him, but Olise, for me, star player. Good player. He glides past people. Obviously, Mateta, up front, he is banging in goals, but them two, mate.

Gabriel Agbonlahor then said: “It wouldn’t surprise me if PSG are looking at Olise. Mbappe is leaving. He is French as well, plays for the French Under-23s, wouldn’t surprise me.”

O’Hara replied: “He is going to end up at the top. I know Palace would try to keep hold of him as much as they can.”

When asked by Agbonlahor whether he’d have Olise at Spurs, the former Tottenham man said: “I would snap your hand off for him. Kulusevski, see you later.”

Postecoglou has talked about having to make some tough decisions and needing to sacrifice good players who are not perfectly suited to his system.

Kulusevski certainly fits that description, which is why it would not be surprising if Tottenham were to listen to offers for him. However, one would expect Ange to keep the Swede around as a squad player, given his versatility.
