QPR coach reveals how much clubs will likely have to pay for Eberechi Eze amidst Spurs interest

QPR coach, Neil Banfield, has admitted that Eberechi Eze could be on his way out of the club in the summer if the attacker’s asking price is met.

Eze is enjoying an impressive campaign at Loftus Road with Tottenham Hotspur having been installed as emerging favourites to sign him when the transfer market reopens in the summer (The Sun).

The attacker, who has notched twelve goals and eight assists so far this season (transfermarkt), is also said to be interesting Sheffield United (The Sun).

Meanwhile, QPR director of football Les Ferdinand has admitted that Crystal Palace made an enquiry for the forward in January (Beautiful Game Podcast via The Standard).

Amidst the growing interest in the 21-year-old, Banfield revealed that the Championship club will find it difficult to turn down offers in excess of £20m.

Speaking about QPR’s young talents Eze, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ilias Chair, Banfield told West London Sport: “The real world is that if a club comes in now with loads of money then those lads have got to go. It’s just a fact of life.

“If the offers come in of £20m and £20m-plus, I don’t think there would be many clubs that could turn that down.”

I really hope we move early to get the deal for Eze wrapped up quickly instead of penny-pinching as we did with the Grealish deal a couple of summers ago. I believe Eze’s value will likely double or triple in the next few years and so I hope we don’t miss out on our chance to land him this summer.
