Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways ‘up north’ with victory against Premier League strugglers Huddersfield Town.

The win was Tottenham’s third in as many matches having previously notched up wins against Brighton and Watford.

Harry Kane netted twice in the first half. His first came on 25 minutes when he powered a header home after a pinpoint cross from Kieran Tripper.

The striker doubled his lead nine minutes later when he slotted home a penalty after Danny Rose was felled in the box.

There were injury concerns to Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele, who were both brought off at half time ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Barcelona.
