RB Leipzig chief Markus Krosche has dismissed the reports linking Julian Nagelsmann with the Tottenham Hotspur job, insisting that the 33-year-old is happy at the Bundesliga club.

The pressure has mounted on Jose Mourinho as Tottenham have struggled to turn around their poor form in the Premier League.

The Spurs boss came out fighting in his press conference on Tuesday, insisting that he is as motivated as ever to succeed and claiming that he will go down in Tottenham’s history for positive reasons.

However, that has not put an end to the speculation about his future in North London.

Nagelsmann reportedly has admirers at Tottenham and it has been suggested that the German coach would be open to leaving Leipzig at the end of the season.

Duncan Castles even claimed in the Transfer Window Podcast that Nagelsmann had been offered to Spurs as Mourinho’s replacement at the end of the season.

However, Krosche has now poured cold water on the rumours, insisting that the Leipzig boss has no reason to leave the Red Bull Arena.

Reacting to the speculation, he told RB Live: “When you do a good job, you arouse desire.

“But Julian feels comfortable because he has everything he needs here. The team is developing great.

“That’s why I see no reason for him to switch – especially since he has a valid contract with us.”
