In news that has come as a big blow to Tottenham Hotspur, RB Leipzig have confirmed that Julian Nagelsmann will be taking over at Bayern Munich ahead of next season.
Reports indicated that Nageslmann was Tottenham’s number one target to replace Jose Mourinho, who was sacked last week.
Some sources suggested that Spurs were also aware of Bayern’s interest in the RB Leipzig boss but were confident of beating the Bundesliga giants to the German coach’s signature because of his desire to manage in the Premier League.
However, reports emerged on Monday that Bayern had already begun talks with the 33-year-old and Tottenham were thus set to shift their attention to the other names on their radar including the likes of Brendan Rodgers, Graham Potter, Roberto Martinez and Scott Parker.
It has now been confirmed that the Spurs hierarchy will indeed have to look elsewhere, with Leipzig revealing that Nagelsmann is on his way to the Allianz Arena.

Spurs Web Opinion
This is potentially a big blow to Levy as I believe one of the reasons he might have pulled the plug on Mourinho as early as he did could have been to try and get a head start on Bayern in the race for Nagelsmann.
If Brendan Rodgers also decides to turn down the Spurs job, Levy might be put in a really difficult spot as there are no other outstanding candidates for the job.
