Read what Jack Clarke had to say about Mauricio Pochettino after Spurs signing

Tottenham Hotspur announced the signing of Jack Clarke from Leeds United this morning, finally putting an end to the 18 months without a new addition (Tottenham).

It seems as if Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino was a big part of why Clarke was so keen to make the move to North London, as the 18-year-old has been waxing lyrical about the gaffer.

Poch has become famed for bringing young English talents through into the first team, and not always just from the Tottenham academy.

The likes of Eric Dier and Dele Alli were bought young from lesser leagues and developed into first-team stars and England internationals.

With 25 games under his belt from last season, Clarke has now gone back on loan to Leeds for the 2019/20 campaign and will be looking to become a consistent starter.

Clarke claims that Pochettino is one of the very best managers in world football and that Spurs could help him progress as a player.

He said (Football London): “He’s one of the best managers in the world, a top, top manager and hopefully he can help me push on and progress myself and I feel like this club could really help me push on as a player and I don’t think I could be in a better environment.”
