Real Betis reportedly label accusation towards Tottenham over transfer dealings

Tottenham Hotspur have been chasing the Real Betis attacking midfielder, Giovani Lo Celso, for some time now, with the BBC reporting a £53m bid back at the start of the transfer window.

This would have been a record club transfer for Spurs at the time, before they signed Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon further down the line.

However, the Spanish league outfit decided to turn down Tottenham’s offer as they believed it was too far away from their £88m buyout clause.

The Mirror reported last week that Tottenham were to secure the signature of Lo Celso within the next seven days, along with Ryan Sessegnon, for a combined £80m fee.

However, no deal has been reached as of yet, and El Desmarque have now claimed that Betis are far from happy with Tottenham’s transfer techniques.

They reportedly believe that Spurs are exploiting Betis’ need to sell and the tight Premier League window deadline to get a better deal.

The report states that they think that Levy is trying to ‘squeeze Betis’ with a €50m offer this summer.
