Real Madrid are prepared to try and upset Daniel Levy

Real Madrid are preparing to make another approach to Tottenham Hotspur for the services of Mauricio Pochettino, according to The Sun.

The Spurs boss was heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu following Zinedine Zidane’s resignation after he had led the Spanish giants to the third successive Champions League crown.

Despite the lure of a return to La Liga, Pochettino committed his future to his project at Tottenham be signing a new five-year contract along with members of his key backroom staff including Jesus Perez and Toni Jiminez.

However, Daniel Levy failed to back his manager during the summer transfer window which led to Spurs becoming the first side in Premier League history not to sign a player since the inception of the window.

The Sun claim that Madrid are prepared to pay a bumper £40million to release him from his contract at Spurs.
