Real Madrid legend believes club should break the bank to land Spurs star

Real Madrid legend Hugo Sanchez has urged his former club to break the bank to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

The 26-year-old has estabished himself as one of the top strikers in world football after scoring 208 goals in 356 games in all competitions (transfermarkt).

Sanchez had no problem finding the back of the net with the Spanish giants having netted 208 goals in 282 matches (Real Madrid official).

The 61-year-old believes that Kane would be the perfect addition to bolster Zinedine Zidane’s attack.

While Madrid still have Karim Benzema within their ranks with the Frenchman enjoying a proflic season having scored 16 goals in all competitions (transfermarkt), Sanchez wants to see his former team bring another proven striker to the Bernabeu.

Sanchez revealed that he has been monitoring Kane’s progress for some time and has been impressed with what he has seen.

He told Marca: “I’m of the opinion that Real Madrid should have two teams and two strong No.9s. I’ve noticed Harry Kane for a long time.”

The Mexican went as far as saying that Madrid should spend £170million to bring him to Spain, he added: “I’d sign him, even for 200 million euros [£170.26m]. Ronaldo also cost a lot and look what he gave the club. But knowing Florentino Perez, with his magic he surely has something in his head to do something, but I know the remodelling of the stadium will take money out of the budget.”
