Real Madrid, Man Utd or Spurs – Jermaine Jenas says what Poch should do

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas believes that Mauricio Pochettino should reject any interest from Manchester United and remain at the club.

Jenas who played for Spurs between 2005 – 2013 is now better known for his television punditry where he has won over many viewers for his open and honest style.

The media speculation linking Mauricio Pochettino with a move to Manchester United has been relentless since they sacked Jose Mourinho on Tuesday.

Jenas was asked by Robbie Savage on BT Sport’s Saturday Morning Savage show where Pochettino should join Manchester United, Real Madrid or stay at Spurs. The midfielder took no time at all to reply with: “Stay at Spurs.”

Former Blackburn Rovers striker Chris Sutton disagreed with Jenas’ view by suggesting that both United and Madrid are bigger than Spurs to which Jenas added: “They are a bigger club, but the project at Spurs isn’t finished yet.

“If he went to United, in my opinion, he would be two years behind where he is at now. If they win something this year, that might change.”

Pochettino signed a new five-year contract at Tottenham during the summer along with key members of his backroom staff following intense speculation linking the Argentine with the Real Madrid job following Zinedine Zidane’s resignation.

Tottenham fans will be hoping that Daniel Levy can keep hold of Pochettino since he is the vital piece of the jigsaw that will keep this current crop of players at the club.
