Real Madrid or Barca for Taarabt? No, it’s QPR

Adel Taarabt looks to be finally on is way out of Spurs, this time on a permanent deal to Queens Park Rangers.

Taarabt has been outspoken about his time at Tottenham and claimed in March that he regretted moving to White Hart Lane instead of Arsenal, something which didn’t go down well with the fans.

The 21-year-old was once dubbed ‘the new Zinedine Zidane’ but has failed to live up to the title. The deal is thought to be worth an initial £600,000 but could rise to £1m based on performance criteria and will represent a loss of around £2million.

He should complete the deal before the Championship season kicks off this weekend.

  1. Shame, thought he had an abundance of raw talent, unfortunately so did he, doesnt need a team to play with just himself. He should take up tennis.
All the same we wish him well.

  2. Lots of talent; poor attitude. since we invested heavily in him we should sell him to QPR with a clause of sell on fee with 15%. And to think he was the new Zindane??

  3. Great talent but refusing to learn and improve, too bothered about himself. Players of this attitude should not be atca big club with so many quslity players, they should instead play forva small club to become the focal point, the super star of that team, at QPR he will be fine because his manager will build the team around him which will serve his ego well, he will have another go at the time when his confidence is boosted at QPR , then we will see what he is really made of..In my opinion Taraabt with his egoistic attitude is the perfect journeyman in the making.

  4. great player, very raw aswell but will improve in that area. its the best deal he can get at this time. lets hope he can show his appriciation to QPR after Neil Walnock went all the way to Morocco to pursade him. Truth is spurs deserve nothing from his development as he played like 10-12 games for the club in 3 years and ramos did't even give him a sqaud number, he was treated badly at north london. Martin Jol beleived in him, would have been great also if he went to Ajax. I hope hes does well for QPR as they are the only ones that believe in his talent, and if he does fulfil close to his potential he'll be worth many millions. QPR Great buy GJ.

    • If Martin Jol thought he was so great was has he not tried to sign him for Ajax. Amazing skills but he is over weight, refuses to pass to his team mates and seems to forget it is a team game. He will give QPR fans a cheap thrill by actually being able to control a football and beat a man but they will get sick of his attitude like everyone else. It is funny how nothing is ever his fault, always someone elses. People with his attitude always fail because they believe they don't have to try to be better than anyone else and feel the world owes him a living. If he had the right attitude he would be playing at the top level not signing for his 25th choice club.
