Real Madrid player claims Gareth Bale is suited to life in the Premier League

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, who is currently on loan at Arsenal believes that a return to the Premier League would be the best outcome for Gareth Bale.

It is fair to say that some Spurs fans are likely tired of being linked with Bale by now, with a possible return to North London being touted by the press almost every transfer window.

Daniel Levy is said to have made a serious effort to sign the Real Madrid star in the January transfer window this season (Daily Mail).

Los Blancos are reportedly desperate to sell the former Spurs star this summer as they look to reduce their wage bill off the back of the coronavirus pandemic (AS).

Marca have backed Newcastle United to make an approach for the 30-year-old once the club’s takeover bid from a group of investors including the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund is complete.

Ceballos believes that English football suits the pacey star’s game but insisted that he is still an important player for Zinedine Zidane’s side.

Speaking about Bale’s future the midfielder told Deportes Cuatro (as relayed by Football.London): “[The Premier League] is a league that suits him quite well, but he’s an important player for Real Madrid.

“Let’s not forget everything he has given the club. Whoever does not trust him has to put on the Champions League finals. He has given enough to the club.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I don’t think there is a single Spurs fan who believes there is a possibility of Bale returning to North London, particularly with the ‘first option’ clause we had expiring last summer. While it is clear that Real Madrid are desperate to get rid of the Welshman, we certainly aren’t in a position to afford his wages.
