A Tottenham Hotspur youngster could be the subject of a bidding war between some of the biggest clubs across Europe this summer.

While Spurs may not have as many world-class players in their squad as they did in previous years, the club are blessed with some outstanding young talents.

Prime among those is a young Tottenham defender, who is turning the heads of the biggest clubs in Europe with his displays out on loan this season.

The player in question is Luka Vuskovic, who has been named in WhoScored’s Team of the Season so far across Europe’s top five leagues.

Vuskovic’s value has more than doubled this season from €18m to €40m (£35m), according to TransferMarkt.

Real Madrid are determined to land Luka Vuskovic from Tottenham

Fichajes have now said that several European giants are closely monitoring the centre-back, including Real Madrid.

Los Blancos are looking to ‘rejuvinate their defence with elite talent’ in the summer and want more competition across their backline.

They have set their sights on Vuskovic and want to take the player to the Santiago Bernabeu before his price skyrockets over the coming years.

The report claims that Madrid supremo Florentino Perez ‘seems prepared to go all out’ to land the 18-year-old defender in the summer.

Fierce bidding war on the cards for Vuskovic

Fichajes say that Madrid’s rivals, Barcelona, are also ‘closely monitoring’ the talented Croat, with the Catalan club also looking for reinforcements at the back.

Additionally, several Premier League clubs and European sides have also ‘requested reports’ on Vuskovic, which suggests that there could be a ‘fierce bidding war’ for the defender over the coming months.

However, the outlet adds that ‘Tottenham will not make his departure easy’ and will only consider a sale if an ‘extremely high offer’ comes in for the youngster.
