Tottenham Hotspur are enjoying their best start to a season ever in the Premier League this season, and are currently second in the table.
Over the past four seasons, Pochettino has slowly built and developed his own tight knit squad of players with a very small transfer budget.
However, his biggest money signing has perhaps been one of his biggest success stories during his reign at the helm of Spurs.
In 2017, Poch and Tottenham signed young defender Davinson Sanchez from Ajax for a fee of around £42m (Guardian).
The centre back instantly slotted into the defence in North London, playing alongside Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen in a back three.
He has also played with each of the Belgian’s individually, especially through injury periods.
MORE SPURS STORIES
The Colombian defender has been so impressive that Don Ballon report Real Madrid are readying a 65 million Euro bid for him.
They claim that he is frustrated by Poch’s rotation system, but with Alderweireld likely to leave for £25m in the summer, he could be a more permanent fixture next season.
