Mark Lawrenson believes that David Moyes’s men will make things extremely difficult for Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.
Ange Postecoglou will be encouraged by the fact that Tottenham’s performances have been excellent at home this season, even though they lost their last two matches at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Chelsea and Aston Villa.
The Australian is further boosted by the fact that Richarlison made his comeback as a late substitute against Manchester City while Cristian Romero is also available for selection after serving his three-match suspension.
Who will win out of Tottenham and West Ham?
Lawrenson does not think there will be a lot to separate the two London rivals, remarking that the Hammers will make it difficult for the home side, but he backed Tottenham to edge out their opponents.
The pundit told Paddy Power: “Spurs have lost a few games of late but we all know about their injuries and suspensions. Ange Postecoglou’s got some big balls because he says,’ We’re going to play this way,’ and it’s just the way it is.
MORE SPURS STORIES
“They lost against Aston Villa the other week but could have been 4-0 up in the first half. They’ve got a couple of players coming back but my mate David Moyes will try and make it really difficult for them.”
Prediction: I’m going to go for Tottenham to win 2-1.
Spurs Web Opinion
This game is always quite tricky due to the simple fact that it is West Ham’s biggest game of the season and their players will thus fight tooth and nail. However, if the likes of Son and Kulusevski have their scoring boots on, I believe that we can win comfortably.
