Fabrizio Romano has handed Tottenham a boost in their rumoured pursuit of Gift Orban by revealing that the striker is really keen on making a switch to the Premier League this summer.
The speculation linking Orban with a move to Tottenham has gone into hyperdrive since Harry Kane’s move to Bayern, with several outlets claiming this week that the Lilywhites are expected to soon launch a concrete offer for the prolific 21-year-old (Evening Standard).

There have been some suggestions over the last few days that Spurs are not keen on paying Gent’s €30m (£25.7m) asking price for the Nigerian and are looking to negotiate down the fee (Rudy Galletti – GiveMeSport).
Meanwhile, some sources from Belgian indicate that the North London club first want to offload some of their unwanted players before pushing ahead with a move for the Gent star (De Morgen).
Fabrizio Romano confirms Spurs interest in Orban
Romano has now become the latest journalist to talk up Tottenham’s chances of landing Orban, stating that the striker has his heart set on a move to England.
The journalist told GiveMeSport: “So, Gift Orban is a player that they have on the list, for sure.
“They like and appreciate him, they have been scouting him for a long time so, for sure, he’s a player on the list. And the player is really keen on a Premier League move so that could be positive for Tottenham Hotspur.”

If Spurs have begun negotiating with Gent, as several outlets seem to suggest, that indicates that the club already have an agreement in place with the striker.
This deal seems like it should be a relatively easy one to do, given Gent’s modest asking price. As long as the Belgian side do not completely shift the goalposts over the coming days, it should be done within the next week.
