Recent signing singles out unbelievable Spurs pair for helping him settle at club

Tottenham Hotspur new boy Joe Rodon has revealed that Gareth Bale and Ben Davies have both helped him to settle into life at his new club.

Rodon swapped Swansea City for North London on the final day of the EFL transfer window last month for an initial £11million transfer fee plus add-ons (BBC).

The 22-year-old is an international team-mate of Bale and Davies with Wales and the duo have helped Rodon to adjust to life with the side who find themselves in second place in the Premier League table.

While the central defender did single out the Welsh pair for praise, he did admit that he has received a warm welcome from the rest of the squad which has helped him to settle in quickly.

Rodon made his Premier League debut for Spurs when he came on in the final minute of the 1-0 win at Burnley last month and found himself named on the bench for the subsequent matches against Brighton and West Bromwich Albion.

He told Wales Online: “It was probably way easier for me and me feel way more comfortable to go there knowing those two are there. They’ve both been unbelievable with me ever since I’ve been there. Not just them.

“All the players as well. It’s made it so quick to settle in. I couldn’t ask for any more than the support they’ve given me. Hopefully we can just carry on. “
