Redknapp to make big Spurs changes for Arsenal tie

Harry Redknapp has admitted that he will be making changes to his Tottenham Hotspur side for the Carling Cup tie against Arsenal at White Hart Lane on Tuesday night.

The Spurs boss will ring the changes after Saturday’s 3-1 win against Wolves in preparating for the visit of our hated rivals.

With a visit to West Ham on Saturday awaiting Spurs, the likes of Ledley King and Rafael van der Vaart are expected to be rested for Tuesday’s tie.

Alan Hutton, Niko Kranjcar, Wilson Palacios, Roman Pavlyuchenko and recent signing Sandro are all expected to start.

“I’ll make a lot of changes,” Redknapp said.

“Lads like Kranjcar, they need to play. Palacio: he needs to play. Sandro, the Brazilian boy, needs to play. Pav can play again; Pav needs to play.”

    bentley/m.poku – sandro – palacios – kranjcar

    kane – pav

  3. Why on Earth would you play Caulker ahead of Gallas ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? And no, Gallas is not injured last I checked !

    • Yes he is you prick .. he got bad cramp in the game against Wolves & is expected to miss out.
Do your research before piping up next time you novice

      • What a knob you sound for calling someone a prick over something as insecure as that. bet your a right big man!

Gallas was suffering from severe cramp at the end of the wolves game proberbly due to his lack of fitness and game time, a bit of rest and an ice bath and im sure he'll be fine. the teams i've seen listed on here stand no chance even against a weak arsenal team and for those of you saying you dont care about the carling cup, so i guess if we were in the final you still wouldnt care and wouldnt watch it support the team? i follow tottenham in every match we play, im just as passionate about the eusebio cup we won against benfica as i am for tomorow nights game. COYS

        Pletikosa,

        Corluka – Bassong – Gallas – BAE
        Sandro
Lennon – Krancjar – Jenas – Dos Santos
        Super Pavvv!

  4. Did you know that in the Ar5ena1 side that night, despite the pleading ‘kids’ excuse, only one of their fit first team did not play.

  5. About Dos Santos: You cannot consider him a Spurs player, after January he will be playing and shining elsewhere, for a better crowd and a more capable manager (my guess that he will be headed for Liverpool, if their ownership situation allows it). Do you sincerely believe he is willing to stay after suffering under Redknapp for a third season? By January Redknapp will want to go back to the market, and the only way he can do that is by selling players.

    • why oh why do we keep mugging him off when he demonstrated in the World Cup that he has more to offer playing off of a CF than the likes of that has been Keane

  6. Don’t you know the gooner filth have very selective memories? They forget that were it not for the fact that Fulham had a UEFA/ Europa cup final to play then they would have had a more difficult game against them than they did because if memory serves me correct Fulham at the time were flying Bobby Zamora was on fire scoring for fun ( should’ve gone to South Africa ) so as my learned friend pointed out earlier they actually fielded more or less a full first team squad, anywho that’s history let’s write some new stuff like beating up on the top three. Lillywhitetilidie.

  7. With the squad at our disposal, we can afford to rally for the Carling cup. Rotation seemed to have contributed to our victory on Saturday. We must consider dos Santos for Tuesday – my gut feeling is that he will come out of hibernation & be re-discoverd by HR like how Hutton & Bale did.

    • How Hutton was?
      Are you mad man? ;-)
He came on as a sub Saturday (played well may I add) and scored a lucky goal but wasn't really tested defensively.
I'd hardly say he has been reborn! lol

  8. Has to be Pletikosa, Bassong and Gallas at the back along with Hutton and perhaps Naughton or Walker at left back to give some experience. To be hoenst I don't care about this game even though it is Arsenal. Sandro, Palacios, Krank and Dos Santos, Keane and Pav upfront both of which despertaely need to start scroring regularly.

    • Walker's gone on loan and I'm not sure Gallas will play as he got bad cramp on Saturday. I'm not sure if Corluka will be fit if he is I'd put him at Centre Back. Other than that Id agree but I'd consider putting Gio in Behind Pav and play Bentley if fit.

  9. Definitely care about this and every Spurs match. I reckon the statr XI will be Pletikosa, Hutton, Bassong, Gallas, BAE, Bentlely/Dos Santos, Palacios, Modric (needs game time), Krancjar, Pavlyuchenko, Keane.

Harry may decide to play Dos Santos up front with Pav, with Bentley on the right. Either way COYS!!!!
