Harry Redknapp has revealed that although he’s already met with chairman Daniel Levy to discuss next season, Spurs won’t be big spenders.

Tottenham cemented their place in next season’s Champions League with a 1-0 win at Manchester City.

“The chairman is here today and we have been talking about different parts for next season, but it is early days,” Redknapp told Sky Sports News on Thursday.

“We haven’t really got any targets yet. We have looked at a lot of players, but we will see how we go with that.”

He added: “We are not going to be big spenders, I do not see that happening. We have got a good squad here, good young players.”

    • Not at today's prices….try 60 million.

I think we'd be better off strengthening the team with someone who has a bit of CL experience.

Look at the difference that Robben has made to Bayern Munich. A player like that can be the difference between the last sixteen and the final of the CL.

  1. Sneaky old fox HR will be calling Levy every day to ask for 50+ mil (agree with modgod on the 30 for Torres & likely 8 for a back up goalie & 10+ for a centre half).

  2. aaahhh Torres. That would be huge as I think our strikers are not enough to push us on next season. This is probably the area we need the most help in. Hopefully Levy and Harry agree with me and use most of the funds for the "up front".

  3. I can see us bagging Huntelaar as we've long admired the lad. I think as long as things look good on Woody our defence is good although a new left back is a must with Bale now being seen as an attacker. Don't be suprised to hear Joe Cole's coming some time next week either
