Bryan Ruiz - Tottenham transfer target

Harry Redknapp has played down rumours that Tottenham are set to sign Bryan Ruiz.

The Spurs boss travelled to Holland on Tuesday night to watch the FC Twente forward score during Twente’s 2-2 draw at home to Benfica.

“I went and watched the game and watched him play,” said Redknapp, who was speaking ahead of Thursday’s Europa League play-off first leg against Hearts at Tynecastle.

“He is a good player but we are more desperate in other areas.

“I don’t think anything is going to happen. He’s a good player that I have watched before.

“I just like going to watch football matches so I thought I’d just go and see the game.”

  1. Classic HR, travels to Europe to catch a game two days before a Europa league qualifier. Hmm. He may not fancy Ruiz after last nights display or just playing his interest down to keep the fee within our modest budgets.

Keano is now off the wage-bill and we need to add quality up front plus we are a little weak at the back with LK out, Gallas out, Basson out of form only one true partner for Dawson right now is Kaboul and I think Dawson's form always dips when he plays with Basson or Kaboul so to sum up we need a striker, a defender, someone to replace Modric (he'll leave eventually and I prefer he went now rather than next year when his value drops).

Come on HR and Mr. Levy get those few marquee players we keep hearing HR going on about!.

    UP THE SPURS!

  2. Way to go harry u really know how to fill the fans with confidence truth is he knows nothing about players who play on the continent
