Redknapp frustrated with lack of signings

Harry Redknapp admits that he knows the two or three players he wants to bring to Tottenham, but claims he is nowhere close to a deal.

The Spurs boss voiced his frustration at being unable to secure their services with the new Premier League campaign set to start in under a week’s time.

Redknapp told the Sunday Mirror: “We are nowhere near at the moment.

“We could do with more experience in the squad and I know the two or three players I want.

“Those players could make the difference and they are not expensive – we need them to push on and keep improving.

“We are not going to win the Premier League as it stands, but we have a chance if we get the players I’m after.”

  1. ….OUT CROUCH( 10 MILL), JENAS(5 MILL), HUTTON(4 MILL), BENTLEY(6 MILL), OHARA( 4 MILL), ..SHOULD GENERATE 20 ODD MILL…..IN SUEREZ, JAGIELKA, ….MAKE IT APPEN HARRY..

    • 10 million for Crouch, are you having a laugh or what? The guy is too busy trying to get his leg over some other bird, and let me tell you that is some leg. 10 million, do me a favour.

  2. the most annoying and frustrating window in our history. Yes we run a tight financial ship, which is why we are in the black, however we are in need of the players that HR wants and we are doing nothing about it. Is it just me or do you always get the feeling with Spurs that if we just went that yard further, just maybe !!!!!!

  3. The problem is Arry is looking for premiership players; or players in a dead market….he needs to bide his time nearer the transfer/ruling deadlines when Clubs will have to make decisive decisions on staff/wages, etc. He must be patient- deals will be there nearer end of month. At moment City can sit pretty but closer to end of month they will have at least 5-8 top quality players on massive wages not really being used for the Premiership.
And many European clubs arent' healthy but are holding on- waiting for the kick start: Milner deal?? Mascherano deal??

  4. Harry is sending our mixed comments about Keane, really hope we don't sell Keane and get Bellamy. Keane must stay. Yesterday Harry said he DIDN'T want to lose him at all. This is getting very confusing.

Harry has said this today…(according to SKY that is)…."He added: "Last year suddenly Robbie wasn't in the side and I could see he wasn't happy. Robbie Keane is a fantastic professional. I still think he's a great player.

"He's been our best player in pre-season. He's the brightest trainer, comes in every day and works his socks off, wants to play, loves to do well. He's a player you don't want to loose.

"I really want to keep him because he's difficult to replace but if you want to buy players you've got to raise some money from somewhere. If Robbie's maybe one of a few who you can sell, then maybe that happens."
