Harry Redknapp admits that he knows the two or three players he wants to bring to Tottenham, but claims he is nowhere close to a deal.
The Spurs boss voiced his frustration at being unable to secure their services with the new Premier League campaign set to start in under a week’s time.
Redknapp told the Sunday Mirror: “We are nowhere near at the moment.
“We could do with more experience in the squad and I know the two or three players I want.
“Those players could make the difference and they are not expensive – we need them to push on and keep improving.
“We are not going to win the Premier League as it stands, but we have a chance if we get the players I’m after.”
