Harry Redknapp has hinted that Peter Crouch could be set to start for Tottenham at Bolton.

Jermain Defoe is struggling to be fit after suffering a broken hand in last weekend’s win against Burnley, but Redknapp is likely to make changes against the more physical challenge of Bolton.

He said: “Peter will get the opportunity to play plenty of games this year. Next is away to Bolton – a big strong team.

“Set plays, we have got to be prepared for that. Last week we went with a small team, next week I will probably pick a bigger team.”

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Peter Crouch deserves a start, his assists and overall performances since joining have been very good. He has a great attitude and is a genuine team player. Good luck to Crouchy!

  2. Milly I think you have a few fans, I am one of them! Agree with you that Crouch has to start with Keane up front. Bolton will be physical so perhaps with his height we can play the aerial game and come away with something. Only question mark is who plays at centre back, I am not confident any of those who are available to play will deal easily with the likes of Kevin Davies.

  3. I think Dawson should start in defence. He’s got a good head on his shoulders and i think he will give it 100% cause its his chance to prove to harry that he should be in the starting 11.
