Harry Redknapp has hinted that Jamie O’Hara may be allowed to stay at Portsmouth for the rest of the season.
O’Hara has shone at Fratton Park in a team that has regularly been a disappointment, but has stated he wishes to stay in order to help the club’s current plight.
Redknapp has said he’s yet to make a decision on the matter, but has claimed the player himself would be keen on extending his stay on the south coast.
“We haven’t decided yet. I’ll speak to the chairman and Portsmouth. He’s a great lad and wants to play, so we’ll wait and see.
“I’m sure he’ll want to stay, he’s really done a good job for them, had a couple of player-of-the-month awards. He may feel if he comes back he won’t play every week, so we’ll have to wait and see.”
