Luka Modric Harry Redknapp - Tottenham Hotspur News

Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp believes that Juan Mata’s arrival at Chelsea will now end their hunt for Luka Modric.

Chelsea have agreed a deal with Valencia to sign the Spanish midfielder and Spurs boss Redknapp thinks that Chelsea will now end their interest in the Croatian.

“Chelsea have signed him?” Redknapp told talkSPORT.

“I didn’t know that. Well, I would think that’s the end of the Modric deal then, surely.

“I would [think the Mata deal has killed the Modric move]. I had no idea about that.”

  1. My first thoughts aswell. Great signing for Chelsea, even better for us hopefully if it means we keep Luka. No we need United to land Sneider, City Nasri and then everyone’s happy…..oh except Ar5ena1

  2. What has happened to the new rules Chelsea Liverpool Utd City are ignoring them City think a massive naming deal by there owners too themselves will be okay but i forecast this there will be four teams in trouble and banned from buying players. This is like me doing one of thes games where you are aloud so much money then you ignore the rules and buy all the top players /. I cant wait for Platini to strike and ban the offenders starting with City and Chelsea eneding with Liverpool and Utd

  3. Chelsea still have to sign Luka Modric as a perfect replacement for Frank Lampard, because lampard is weak and weaker everyday.

Lampard is not in position to play full time for Chelsea any more, we have to say the truth.

AVB, should not rely on lampard if he really want to succeed in chelsea as a coach.

if AVB is really ready to play 4-3-3 formation. then he must sign Luka Modric, so he can play, Luka Modric, Juan mata and Ramires on the midfield, for speedy game., Drogba, torres and lukaku on the attack, then he should play terry, luiz, invanovic and cole on the defence

  4. when Luka sees Chelski below us in the league next transfer window he will know he had a lucky escape and that Champion League footy wont be far away with us. THFC are the future and Chelsea the past with many of their key players 30 or over now.
