Redknapp once again states his interest in Bellamy

Harry Redknapp hopes to bring Craig Bellamy to Spurs if Man City are prepared to sell.

The Welsh striker has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane throughout the summer, but a deal has yet to materialise.

Any deal for Bellamy could signal the end of Robbie Keane’s career at Spurs, as you wouldn’t think they’d be able to play in the same team together.

Redknapp told Sky Sports News: “With three players – not massive signings, not big money – just the players I really want, if I could manage to pull them off then anything could happen with Tottenham this year. I think the potential here is fantastic.

“I like Bellamy but if Manchester City don’t want to sell him…

“He is a player I’ve been after before when he went to Man City. They belong to Man City, it’s not really fair to talk about other people’s players.

“They’re at Man City at the moment and until they decide they want to sell them then there’s nothing you can do with anybody.”

  1. This situation is ridiculous. All the hard work of last season is in danger of being undone. Mostly due to Manchester city holding up the market, of course you can’t force a club to sell but it is widely accepted that it all centres around the Milner deal. Surely there is something the league can do to prevent this happening? Any players we do buy now will be grossly over inflated and there is very little time for them to settle into their new clubs. Looks like we may have to run with what we have as I can’t see the Milner deal being settled anytime soon. Lillywhitetilidie.

  2. We lose Keane – a proven goalscorer, to raise money? This seems quite obviously wrong: the whole point of entering the Champions League was so that we could attract and buy top class players, not sell them!

Bellamy is not a team player; he will be a negative, disruptive presence. KEEP KEANE – his two goals on Saturday showed his undisputable quality.

  3. Bellamy on silly money at city and he wants a loan to cardiff as he has two and half years left on contract.

Transfer windows are now like a game of chess and city are running the game milner will sign thursday but vila will not do any other deals till new manager in place so that kills the young deal.

City are waiting till last minute for balotelli deal as inter need the money to buy mascherano then liverpool will re sign keane if we had citys millions we would do the same they are waiting to do the deals till its to late for everyone else, Bellamy is a gobshite and no loyalty to any club except cardiff.
