Spurs boss Harry Redknapp insists he never thought about quitting despite his health.
It took everyone by shock when just over three weeks ago it was announced that Harry was going under the knife to have two stents inserted to unblock coronary arteries after being admitted to hospital while feeling out of breath. Many of us wondered if he would actually return to the dugout at the Lane – but Harry did not even think about hanging up his benchcoat.
After 28 years in the dugout we should be more worried about Redknapp taking up the reigns for England rather than retiring. He is still tipped to take over from Fabio Capello. If that were to happen who would you like to see take over at the Lane? Our money is with Carlo Ancelotti.
“It never entered my mind,” Redknapp told the pre-match press conference. “It drove me mad, sitting at home. I had a bad couple of weeks but now I feel better than before.
“I have been chasing (my wife) Sandra around the kitchen a lot. She asked them if they could reverse this process!”
Once thing is for sure, the 64-year-old is going to be around for a few years yet.
