Redknapp turns attentions to Cole

Reports today are suggesting Tottenham will move for West Ham forward, Carlton Cole in January.

With Roman Pavlyuchenko seeming to be on his way out, Redknapp is looking for a fourth striker and Cole could be the man he looks to.

West Ham are still very much in a financial mire and could be forced to sell their star assets in order to balance the books at the club.

Cole has risen to prominence in the past couple of seasons, as his move to West Ham has breathed new life into an otherwise disappointing career.

He is recognised as one of the club’s top three players and Cole’s form of late has seen him become a regular in Fabio Capello’s England squad.

Redknapp is thought to be looking for a player with Premiership experience and Cole impressed him in Spurs’ encouter with West Ham earlier this season.

Cole is expected to cost between £9-11million, though Spurs could face competition from Arsenal for his signiture.

Failure to land Carlton Cole will see Redknapp turn his attention’s to Wigan’s Hugo Rodallega.
