Harry Redknapp looked on the positive side after Tottenham Hotspur drew 1-1 at home to Everton.
The away side took the lead through a stunning Leighton Baines free-kick, but Rafael Van der Vaart scored just minutes later to level.
Redknapp told Sky Sports: “They are a good side, you do not ever get an easy game against Everton.
“We had the better chances but it was always going to be a tough day off the back of a hard week.
“But I couldn’t fault the effort of the players, we worked hard today. We just needed a break, but it didn’t quite come.
“To come back again from 1-0 down shows a lot of character. We go behind and we come back, we never give up.”
