Harry Redknapp praised his players after watching them beat Chelsea 2-1.

The Spurs boss was happy to see his side bounce back from their FA Cup exit with back-to-back wins against rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.

He said: “They’ve been fantastic. After the disappointment of last Sunday to come back with these two wins is top class.

“We were even better than we were against Arsenal, in the first 30 minutes we completely dominated.”

“They were well-deserved wins,” he added.

“We were the better team again, there was no doubt about that. We created all the chances and deserved the points.

“The Man United result went our way tonight but you have got to take advantage of that. We had to make sure we won to get the benefit.

“It’s a difficult task beating Chelsea, not many teams manage to do that.”

He continued: “I still think it’s going to be close. Villa and Liverpool have it all to do to catch us but certainly Man City have still got a great chance. We have still got to go to City.”

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Could have been 5 easily, will all come down to the City game.Dawson & Bale were fantastic today. Chelski looked nervous and lacked the killer pass.

Dawson could very well book his ticket to the world cup, if not as first choice certainly as very good cover.

COYS lets hope that City falter again on the run in

  2. when we lost against porthsmith i didn't even want to wach any football game.i was feeling very down and i lost all my faith for tottenham and i was thinking that now it;s all over but when i saw spurs playing this type of football i was wandering how much we deserve 4th place.i also think that if we played that way all the games we are fighting for the 1st place not the never say die up the spurs and continue play with big hearts we have a team which can beat any team.

  3. What a bunch of petulant wankers the boys in blue turned out to be. How Terry can look at himself in the mirror I don't know. Brilliant performance by Spurs especially Bale and Dawson – Modric, Gomes and Benny were all superb too. Come on you Spurs!!!

  4. I know this sounds like i'm getting carried away but if we continue to play like that we'll be challenging for top of the table next year.

  5. If City lose to Arsenal, the rest will take care of itself. Watch Villa, they have a better chance than Liverpool of surprising everybody.

    • Villa will finish the season strongly, but you're 9 points (and a goal difference of 16) behind Spurs, with only 5 games to play (for you – 4, for us)..

  6. Thats twice I have come in my pants this week after thinking I was going to shit them. Loooking forward to the Uttd game but will be wearing a nappy. Ohhhh Yes.

    • That’s the funniest thing I’ve read today. Just pissed myself :-/ chuck me one of those nappies please bruv !!!

  7. Harry, I for one have criticised your tactics, but full respects to you, considering a lack of 1st team players, tactically you got it spot on, brilliant, COYS.
