“Refs had an absolute howler” – Some Spurs fans react to first half vs Chelsea

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on social media with their thoughts on the first-half performance they have witnessed against Chelsea this afternoon.

Antonio Conte named a defensively-minded starting eleven which included four central defenders operating across the back four, with Matt Doherty and Ryan Sessegnon operating as wingers.

Harry Winks had Tottenham’s first chance of the game after some fine work from Harry Kane to win the ball back allowed Winks to drive forward and his left-footed effort from outside of the penalty area was saved by Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Chelsea should have taken the lead on the half hour when Romelu Lukaku miskicked the ball inside the box when it appeared easier to convert.

Tottenham were robbed of a goal five minutes before the break when Harry Kane netted, only for referee Paul Tierney to claim that the Spurs man had pushed Thiago Silva in the build-up.

Here is a selection of reaction from some fellow Spurs fans on the opening forty-five minutes of action under the lights at Stamford Bridge with their side currently level at 0-0.
