Reguilon opens up on working with Mourinho and names two ‘good guys’ in squad

Sergio Reguilon has admitted that he is really enjoying life at Tottenham and working under a demanding coach like Jose Mourinho.

The left-back’s arrival was overshadowed by some of the other singings that Spurs made during the transfer window but, if early signs are anything to go by, Reguilon may prove to be an important acquisition.

The Spain international has adapted to the intensity of the Premier League fairly quickly and looks as though he has all of the attributes to succeed in English football.

Reguilon revealed that he is starting to get used to his new surroundings and is developing a good understanding with his Tottenham teammates.

Speaking to El Larguero (as translated by Goal.com), Reguilon said: “It gets dark at five o’clock! It’s a different league and style but I adapt well to new situations.

“I get on great with my teammates. Son and Hojbjerg are good guys.”

Reports indicate that Mourinho and his coaching staff have been blown away by the quality the 23-year-old has shown in training (Football Insider) and it seems as though the admiration is mutual.

When asked what it is like working with the Portuguese coach, Reguilon said: “Great. I like this kind of demanding, intense coach.

“When we don’t do what he wants he gets angry, like any coach. He’s really close to the players.”
