Paul O’Keefe, who regularly breaks reliable information about the ongoings at Hotspur Way, has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have an interest in Everton midfielder Amadou Onana.
It has been well documented that Spurs are after a number six this summer, with Football.London’s Alasdair Gold confirming recently that a defensive midfielder is high on Ange Postecoglou’s wishlist.
The journalist stated that with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp potentially on their way out, the Lilywhites are eyeing Atalanta’s Ederson as an option to compete with Yves Bissouma.
Tottenham like the look of Onana from Everton
If O’Keefe’s latest update is to be believed, Tottenham are also fans of Onana, who has been a consistent performer for the Toffees since his move from Atalanta in 2022.
He claimed on X that the Belgium international is on the list of midfielder targets compiled by the Tottenham hierarchy.

According to various reports over the last few days, Onana is also on the wishlist of several other Premier League clubs including West Ham and Everton, with the midfielder alleged to be valued at £50m- £60m (Football Insider).

£50m-£60m is a steep fee for someone like Onana but Tottenham may perhaps feel that they could land the midfielder for a lower fee towards the end of June, given Everton’s needs to raise funds to avoid further sanctions.
