Report: 18-year-old remains ‘at the forefront’ of Tottenham’s thinking for the summer

HITC have said that Antonio Nusa continues to rank highly on Tottenham’s wishlist as we edge closer to the summer transfer window.

Since Tottenham’s failed move for Nusa in January, reports have continued to suggest over the last couple of months that the Lilywhites might go back in for the winger in the summer.

A week and a half ago, Voetbalkrant even asserted that the Premier League side had already begun efforts to land the Norwegian starlet and had even ‘started negotiations’ with Club Brugge over the player.

Nusa is still near the top of Tottenham’s wishlist

HITC have now become the latest outlet to suggest that Spurs are still ‘very keen’ on Nusa, with the North London club thought to be big admirers of the player.

The report says that Ange Postecoglou wants to bolster his options in attack in the summer and the Club Brugge star, who is able to play in either flank, is quite an attractive option for the club.

The publication asserts that as things stand, Tottenham ‘firmly remain in the pursuit’ of the teenager, who is expected to cost around £30m.

One does wonder if the impact Werner has had since his move to Spurs would affect the club’s decision. With Tottenham looking likely to activate the option to buy the German, Postecoglou might prefer to sign a player who is more comfortable on the right wing than the left.

While Nusa can play on the right, he is far more effective cutting in from the left. An option such as Raphinha might be more attractive to Spurs.
