Report: 19-year-old academy striker training with Spurs first-team ahead of Fulham clash

Tottenham academy striker Jude Soonsup-Bell has been called up to first-team training by Ange Postecolgou ahead of Spurs’ clash against Fulham on Monday.

Soonsup-Bell arrived at Spurs from Chelsea’s academy back in February and the transfer was seen as a big coup for the Lilywhites at the time, with the club’s former managing director, Fabio Paratici, describing the teenager as a ‘big talent’ (club’s official YouTube channel).

The 19-year-old has certainly lived up to that billing since setting foot at Hotspur Way and he has made an exceptional start to the new season.

The centre-forward has scored four goals and provided two assists in five Premier League 2 matches so far and also found the back of the net twice in the EFL Trophy (Transfermarkt).

It appears that Soonsup-Bell’s displays for the Under-21s have caught the eye of Postecoglou and his coaching staff, with the teenager spotted training with the senior stars this week.

Spurs Web Opinion

Soonsup-Bell might have been called up to first-team training due to the fact that many senior players are away on international duty.

I doubt we would see him make the bench like Jamie Donley and Alfie Dorrington have recently, with Alejo Veliz clearly ahead of him in the pecking order.
