Report: 20-year-old Spurs man expected to go on loan to Championship

Football Insider have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have made Jack Clarke available for loan this summer.

Tottenham paid £10m to sign Clarke from Leeds in 2019 on the back of his breakthrough season in the Championship but the youngster endured a frustrating 2019/20 campaign, struggling to get regular game time during his loan spell back at Leeds and his subsequent stint at QPR.

The winger trained with the first team at Spurs during the first half of last season and managed to get a few appearances in senior matches under his belt.

Clarke was loaned out to Stoke City in January and the 20-year-old certainly proved his worth during his stint at the Bet365 Stadium, becoming a key player for Michael O’Neill’s side before his time at the club was cut short by an achilles injury.

Football Insider now claim the winger is expected to go on loan to a Championship club again for the upcoming season.

Nuno Espirito Santo has allegedly decided it would be best for the Leeds academy graduate to get regular competitive football under his belt.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is difficult to see Clarke getting much of a look in even in the Europa Conference League given the options Nuno has out wide after Bryan Gil’s addition.

So, loaning Clarke out is a sensible move. Hopefully, the 20-year-old can build on his impressive spell at the Bet365 Stadium and hit the heights that we know he can.
