Report: 22-year-old striker looks set to leave Spurs this summer

Tottenham Hotspur look set to release striker Kazaiah Sterling at the end of the season.

The 22-year-old joined Southend United on loan in October but only managed to score once in 12 games in all competitions before heading back to Tottenham in January (transfermarkt).

Sterling was once again on the move during the winter window when he linked up with Scottish outfit Greenock Morton until the end of the current campaign.

He made his debut for the Scottish Championship side last weekend when he came off the bench during the second half of a 1-0 defeat to Raith Rovers.

Sterling had previously failed to make much of an impact during his respective spells at Sunderland and Doncaster Rovers and Leyton Orient.

Football Insider claim that when his contract expires at Tottenham in the summer they are not expected to offer Sterling a new deal and will instead release him after it has become apparent that he will not make the breakthrough into Jose Mourinho’s first team.
