Report: 23-year-old held talks with Barcelona but is open to joining Spurs in summer

Tottenham Hotspur may have a big decision to make come the summer, will they stick with the 33-year-old Hugo Lloris in goal for another season?

The Frenchman recently made his comeback after a nasty dislocated elbow injury sustained at the start of the season, but has been a mixed bag in the past two weeks.

The shot stopped was unbelievable against Man City at home in the Premier League, saving a penalty and earning a clean sheet in the 2-0 win over the reigning Champions.

However, Hugo then dropped an absolute stinker against Southampton in the FA Cup in midweek, making a number of key mistakes that cost his side a goal and gifted the Saints chances.

It has now been reported that, although he held talks with Barcelona, Andre Onana from Ajax is open to joining Spurs in the summer. Having said this, his preferred destination is said to be Chelsea (Daily Mail).

The Daily Mail claim that Onana would cost one of the Premier League sides between £40m and £50m this year.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I don’t rate this kid that highly, looks like he has more than a few mistakes in him. I also don’t want to see Spurs wasting £50m on a keeper when there are far more pressing issues. Lloris and Gazzaniga are more than good enough for now.
