Report: 25-year-old Serie A star prefers to join Inter Milan over Tottenham

CalcioMercato.com have revealed that rumoured Tottenham target Gleison Bremer prefers to join Inter Milan rather than move to a Premier League club this summer.

It appears to be only a matter of time before Spurs announce the signing of Clement Lenglet on a season-long loan deal after the Barcelona star reportedly arrived in London on Tuesday to complete his medical (Sport).

However, the 27-year-old might not be the only centre-back to come through the doors at Hotspur Way this summer if reports over recent days are to be believed.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has said that Spurs are open to listening to offers for Davinson Sanchez while Fabrizio Romano told GiveMeSport this week that he expects Antonio Conte’s men to continue looking for defensive reinforcements.

Bremer is thought to be one of the names on Tottenham’s wishlist, with reports indicating last week that Torino have offered the centre-back to multiple Premier League clubs including Spurs (90 min).

However, if CalcioMercato’s latest update is to be believed, despite interest from English clubs, Bremer’s first choice this summer is to join Inter Milan.

The report states that the Nerazzurri have stepped up their pursuit of the Torino star over recent days. It is explained that Bremer is Inter’s top defensive target but the club need to raise funds through player sales to buy the Brazilian.

CalcioMercato claim that Milan Skriniar is the player Simone Inzaghi’s side look most likely to sacrifice in order to sign the Torino star, with both Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain said to be interested in the Slovak.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Bremer was at the top of Conte’s wishlist and if Spurs had received encouragement from the Brazilian’s camp, I suspect they would have already submitted an offer to Torino.

The fact that we have not suggests that either Bremer is not enthused about a move to Tottenham or that Conte does not feel that the 25-year-old is the kind of defender he needs at the moment.
