26-year-old striker wanted by Spurs tells current club he wants to leave – Journalist says

Tottenham may have just received a boost in their attempts to sign Arkadiusz Milik after reports from Italy indicate that the striker has made it clear to Napoli that he wants to leave at the end of the season.

Calcio Napoli 24 reported earlier this month that Milik is one of the players on Tottenham’s radar this summer as they seek to invest in a new striker.

The Polish forward has netted twelve goals in twenty-two appearances in all competitions so far this season (transfermarkt).

The 26-year-old is also said to be interesting Tottenham’s North London rivals, Arsenal, according to Calciomercato.

Napoli are said to be demanding around €45 million for the Polish international’s signature this summer.

Rai journalist, Ciro Venerato, has now revealed that the striker had already told Napoli that he wants to quit the club when the transfer market opens.

Speaking to Radio Sportiva (as relayed by Napoli Calcio Live), he said: “From what I know, Milik has already communicated to Naples the intention to leave.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Among the strikers we have been linked with so far, Milik strikers me as the most realistic option. He wouldn’t cost too much and wouldn’t demand to start every game. While his signing wouldn’t inspire too much excitement among the Tottenham fan base, he can certainly be a useful squad option for us.
