Report: 34-year-old completes medical at Hotspur Way head of Spurs switch

Fraser Forster has completed his medical at Hotspur Way ahead of his proposed transfer to Tottenham, according to the Daily Mail.

Forster, 34, is set to leave Southampton when his contract expires next month and has been identified as the man who will become Hugo Lloris’ understudy for the upcoming campaign.

Pierluigi Gollini provided cover for the Frenchman last season during his loan spell from Atalanta and is expected to return to the Italian club (Independent).

The former Celtic goalkeeper made 133 appearances in the Premier League for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side and kept 43 clean sheets in the process (transfermarkt).

Spurs earlier today confirmed that 18-year-old striker Dane Scarlett had signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2026.

It only seems like it will be a matter of time before Forster becomes the club’s first new arrival of the summer transfer window and will free up a non-homegrown space in the squad once Gollini heads back to Italy.
