Report: 38-year-old emerges as contender for Spurs job

According to German publication Bild, Tottenham Hotspur are considering appointing the departing Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic as their next manager.

Terzic served as assistant manager to Lucien Favre at Dortmund for over two years before being appointed interim boss after the Swiss manager’s sacking back in December.

The 38-year-old has done a commendable job, guiding Dortmund to the DFB-Pokal title, a third-place finish in the Bundesliga and the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Croat has experience working in English football, having served as Slavin Bilic’s assistant at West Ham United from 2015 to 2017.

Terzic will be departing Signal Iduna Park at the end of the season, with Marco Rose set to replace him at the helm.

Bild claim that Tottenham are ‘intensively considering’ appointing the young coach.

It is revealed that the North Londoners could face competition from other Premier League sides for Terzic, with Cyrstal Palace and Newcastle United also interested in his services.
