Report: £4.6million deal agreed for departure of Tottenham player

With the European transfer window open until September 2nd for many countries, clubs on the continent are still busy conducting their business.

One player who looks set to depart North London before the close of the window is Tottenham Hotspur winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou.

The Times report this evening that Tottenham have agreed a £4.6million fee with Besiktas to take the flop to Turkey.

Nkoudou has failed to make an impact at Tottenham since his £9million switch from Marseille in 2016 (BBC).

The former French Under-21 international has made just 19 Premier League appearances since linking up with Mauricio Pochettino’s side, with arguably his biggest contribution coming last season when he played a ball onto the head of Harry Winks to score a late winner at Fulham.

He has spent time on loan at Burnley and Monaco in recent seasons, but struggled to play regularly for either side due to injury issues.

It now looks that his time at Tottenham is nearing an end and he now faces the prospect of rebuilding his career in Turkey.
