Report: AC Milan and Roma have both made same offer to Spurs for Tanganga

CalcioMercato.it have reported that AC Milan and Roma have both made the same offer to Tottenham for centre-back Japhet Tanganga this summer (09/08/22 via Sport Witness).

The report claims that both Serie A sides have offered a loan deal with an option to buy Tanganga for €20m, however, Tottenham remain keen on an obligation if they are to part with the defender.

It is said that all parties involved believe the situation could advance in the final days of the summer transfer window when concessions may be made.

CalcioMercto.it claim that Spurs could either accept one of the two offers already on the table, or they could come to an obligation agreement triggered by a number of appearances.

Tottenham have plenty of options in the centre of defence, including Eric Dier, Cristian Romero, Clement Lenglet, Ben Davies, and Davinson Sanchez, but recently parted with Joe Rodon who joined Rennes on loan.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Spurs will not loan or sell Tanganga unless they already have another centre-back ready to walk through the Hotspur Way doors. Ideally, you need two players for every position and Spurs are one short across their central three defenders.
