Report: AC Milan are linked with two of the same transfer targets as Spurs

Sky Sport Italia have claimed that AC Milan have now set their sights on two rumoured Tottenham targets, Serhou Guirassy and Jonathan David.

A number of centre-forwards have been mooted as targets for Spurs over the last couple of months and given Tottneham’s struggles in the final third over the last few weeks, it is not difficult to see why Ange Postecoglou would want to bring a number nine through the door.

Guirassy, who has been one of the most prolific strikers in Europe since his switch to Stuttgart, is one of the names thought to be on Spurs’ radar, with reports over the last few months stating that the Lilywhites are batting West Ham and Newcastle for the 27-year-old (Bild).

Meanwhile, David is also allegedly being watched by Tottenham, with, TEAMtalk claiming a little over a month ago that Ange Postecoglou’s men have a ‘firm intention’ to make a move for the Canadian international in January.

Competition from AC Milan for Guirassy and David

Sky Italia have now revealed that Milan are keen on signing a centre-forward in January and have settled on a two-man shortlist of Guirassy and David.

The outlet states that Rossoneri ‘really like’ Guirassy’s profile and are hoping to convince the Stuttgart man to make the switch to the San Siro.

The publication adds that David is the ‘other objective’ for Stefano Pioli’s men, who believe that they could get the Lille player for around €40m (£34.3m).

While a centre-forward will not be at the top of Postecoglou’s agenda for January, Spurs will be on the lookout for market opportunities. Guirassy could be quite a tempting option for Tottenham as well as several other clubs, given his £15m release clause.
