Report: AC Milan believe they will beat likes of Spurs to attacking midfielder

90 min have revealed that AC Milan now believe they are closing in on a deal to sign Tottenham target Daichi Kamada.

Eintracht Frankfurt confirmed last month that Daichi Kamada is expected to leave Deutsche Bank Park when his contract runs out this summer, and it appears as if there is a major scramble for the attacking midfielder’s signature.

90 min have revealed that the 26-year-old remains on Tottenham‘s wishlist, with the North London club said to have sent scouts to watch the player in action in Frankfurt’s recent 3-0 win over Mainz.

The report explains that Kamada was expected to sign for Borussia Dortmund after holding extensive talks with the club but that deal has now collapsed.

The likes of Napoli and Benfica are said to have accelerated efforts to sign the Japan international recently but it is asserted that Milan believe they will win the race for his signature.

The outlet states that the Rossoneri hierarchy are now ‘pushing hard to strike a deal’ for Kamada and they now think that an agreement is close.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham are unlikely to get Maddison, given that we look set to miss out on Champions League and Europa League qualification. So, one would expect the club to pull out all the stops for Kamada.

This might be another situation where the fact that we do no have a sporting director or a head coach has given other clubs an advantage.

Unless we sort out the situation soon, we risk being left behind by others, thus potentially having to play catch-up for the majority of the summer transfer window.
